Larry Jacobia

Larry Jacobia, 67, Topeka KS, passed away April 20, 2012 at St. Francis Health Center. Larry was born, June 9, 1944 in Horton KS, the son of Ivan Leo and Margaret Evelyn (Wade) Jacobia. Larry graduated from Auburn High School. He served in the US Army from 1965 to 1971. Larry married Sandra Artzer on April 15, 1972 in Topeka KS. He worked for Shawnee County Parks and Recreation in the maintenance department at Lake Shawnee and retired in 2001. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Jacobia; a daughter, Stacy Jacobia; a son, Matthew Jacobia; one grandson, Zachary Webb; beloved pet, Irie, all of Topeka. Other survivors include his siblings, Geraldine (Joseph) Wyzenski, LaVista NE, Janice (Joel) Sukman, Queens NY, Virginia (Joseph) Crai, Susan (John Thomas) Boatright, Peggy Broxterman, Kathy (Jim) Cutright, all of Topeka, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Patricia, Mary, Betty and a brother, Kenneth. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 24, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Rd., Topeka KS 66614, and funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
