Mary Jacobia Freeby
Mary
M. Freeby, 95, passed away May 22, 2013. She was born June 7, 1917, in
Fairview, KS, the daughter of Merlin and Julia Ann Gilbert Jacobia. On
May 31, 1936, Mary married Everett A. Freeby. He preceded her in death
in 1997. She retired from the Kansas Rehabilitation Center for the
Blind, where she worked as a cook. Survivors include son, Everett E.
Butch (Helen) Freeby; daughters, Dianna K. Berry and Debra M. (Larry)
Turner; son-in-law, Billy Gentry; 13 grandchildren; 18
great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly A. Gentry. Funeral service will
be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at Mount Hope Chapel, 4700 SW
17th Street, Topeka, KS 66604, where the family will receive friends one
hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Topeka Presbyterian Manor Good Samaritan Fund,
4712 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66606.
