Darlene Lou Brammer, 80, of Atwater, Calif., died Thursday, April 28, 2011.
She was born in Morrill, Kansas on May 23, 1930, to Louis and Florence (Wilkerson) Herbster.
Darlene was married to Robert Lee Brammer on September 9, 1951, in Verdon, Neb. He survives.
She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a charter member of the Daughters of the Air Museum, a prominent member of the Seventeenth Annual Conference of America Women's Activities-Germany, a member of the Officers' Wives Club, a volunteer tax preparer for senior citizens and an avid bridge player. She was also an active member of the Methodist Church for over 50 years.
Other survivors include her son, Greg Brammer; two daughters, Cynthia Kuhle and Candace Cease; her grandchildren, Grant and Seth Brammer, Lindsey and Michael Kuhle and David Cease; and her stepbrother, Darrell Herbster of Auburn, Neb.
A sister, Donna Goolsby, preceded her in death.
The celebration of Darlene's life will be at the United Methodist Church in Atwater, Calif., at noon Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Atwater United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the American Heart Association.
