Agnes Mitchell Jacobia Hampton Roe

Agnes L. Mitchell, Jacobia, Hampton, Roe
Agnes Louise Roe, 90, of Wamego, died Sunday December 23,
2012 at the Valley Vista Good Samaritan Home in Wamego.
Agnes was born in Bendena, Kansas on September 14, 1922 the
daughter of Nelson and Mary Ellen (Clark) Mitchell. She was
raised in Horton, Ks. and graduated from Horton High School.
She worked for the Garment Factory in Horton from 1955 to 1968.
In 1968 she moved with her husband Hal to Topeka. From 1968
until her retirement she worked for the Good Samaritan Home
Topeka. Then in 2003 she moved to Wamego to be near her son
Jim Jacobia. She was a member of the University Methodist Church
in Topeka and a member of the First United Methodist Church in
Wamego. Where she served on many committees.
Agnes married Glenn D. Jacobia in June 1941. He preceded
her in death August 1959. She then married Leroy Hampton in
October 1960. He preceded her in death May 1965. She then
married Harold Roe in October 1968. He preceded her in death in
August 1978.
She enjoyed country music, singing in the church choir, doing
crossword puzzles; search a word, and watching old movies and
TV Land. But most of all she enjoyed baking for her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Jack L. Jacobia and his wife, Sandra,
of Indianapolis, In. James D. Jacobia and his wife, Carla of Wamego,
Delbert G. Jacobia and his wife, Karen of Salina, Ks. Five
granddaughters, two grandsons and two step-granddaughters.
Seven great granddaughters, ten great grandsons and one great,
great granddaughter.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Larry D. Jacobia in
infancy.  Her parents, one brother and five sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 28,
2012 at Campanella Funeral Home in Wamego. Rev. Ronald
Williams will be officiating. The family will greet friends at 1:00 p.m.,
Friday before service.
Burial will be at the Sabetha Cemetery, Sabetha, Ks. They suggest
that memorial contributions to the American Heart Association and
those be sent in care of Campanella Funeral Home. Online
