The 2008 Gilbert Reunion is now history, we had a good attendance of over 100 people at Lake Shawnee in Topeka, Kansas. If you didn't attend, where were you? Attached to this are some photos of those in attendance, the large group photo is of Agnes Mitchell Jacobia and her kids, grandkids great grandkids etc. The shelter house was packed and with good weather many also ate their lunch outside. Next years reunion will have a large attendance as many who could not attend this year have said they are making plans to attend. More details will be posted on the 2009 Reunion as they become available. The 2009 Reunion will be held in the Community Building in Fairview, Kansas and it will be a celebration of the 150th year the Gilbert family has lived in what we know of today as KANSAS. I am updating and will publish a new GILBERT FAMILY HISTORY in time for next years reunion. I am needing updated information on all people in the family plus more photos for the book.
